What should I know before booking?

Questions neighbors ask in Bedford Park

What ZIP code is Bedford Park in?

Mostly 10458, which is everything east of the Grand Concourse: Valentine, Bainbridge, Briggs, Marion and Decatur avenues, the numbered streets from 200 up, and the even numbers of the Concourse itself. West of the Concourse, with Morris, Creston, Jerome, Villa and Goulden avenues, the numbered streets up to 199 and the odd Concourse numbers, it is 10468. The few blocks of Sedgwick Avenue by the reservoir are 10463.

Are the apartments in Bedford Park cleaned by the room?

Yes. Most homes here are apartments: about 250 elevator buildings hold 14,143 of the 23,673 homes, 166 of them the six-story kind from before 1950 along the Concourse, Marion and Valentine avenues, and about 400 walk-ups hold another 7,876. You pick the rooms, the building type does not change the price, and the doorman or super only needs to know we are coming.

How much does a cleaning cost in Bedford Park?

It depends on how many rooms you have and how often we come. The plan builder starts at $0, prices each room as you add it, and shows the total before it asks for your contact details.

Which new buildings in Bedford Park do you clean?

Yes. One home in five here is in a building finished in 2000 or later: 261 East 202nd Street and 270 East 203rd Street with 160 homes each, 2865 Creston Avenue, 2880 Jerome Avenue, and the blocks on Villa Avenue. Tell us about the front desk when you book and we will announce ourselves.

How many train stops does Bedford Park have?

Four. Bedford Park Blvd and Kingsbridge Rd on the B and D run under the Grand Concourse, both with elevators, and Bedford Park Blvd-Lehman College and Kingsbridge Rd on the 4 are on the elevated line over Jerome Avenue. Mosholu Pkwy on the 4 is just past the parkway, in Norwood. We arrive by car whichever stop is yours.

Do you clean near Lehman College and the reservoir?

Yes. The Lehman campus between Bedford Park Boulevard and Goulden Avenue, Harris Park and the Jerome Park Reservoir are the west end of the neighborhood, and the apartments on Paul, Goulden and Sedgwick avenues around them, in 10468, book like any other home here. Student apartments count the same way, by the rooms.

Is Norwood part of Bedford Park?

No. Norwood is the neighborhood north of Mosholu Parkway, around Montefiore and the Williamsbridge Oval, and it will have its own page. This one covers the blocks south of the parkway, from the reservoir to Webster Avenue; the parkway itself, with Mosholu Playground between Bainbridge and Briggs avenues, is the edge.
