1. Who We Are
More House Services LLC (“More House,” “we,” “us,” “our”) is a residential and commercial cleaning company based at 2151 Tomlinson Avenue #3, Bronx, NY 10461, serving The Bronx, New York. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through morehousellcny.com (the “Site”), our booking and customer account system, and our email/text communications, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
This Policy applies to visitors, quote requesters, one-time customers, and recurring-plan subscribers. It does not apply to information we collect from job applicants or employees, which is handled separately.
2. This Site Is for Adults Only
More House’s Site and services are directed to adults and are not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you are under 18, please do not use the Site, request a quote, or create an account. If we learn that we’ve collected personal information from someone under 18, we will delete it. A parent or guardian who believes we have information about a minor can contact us using the details in Section 16 and we will remove it.
3. Information We Collect
Information you give us directly:
- Contact & identity information: name, email address, phone number, and service address, when you request a quote, book a cleaning, or create an account.
- Booking & service details: the type of home/property, rooms, extras selected, scheduling preferences, access instructions, and any notes you give our team (e.g., pets, allergies relevant to product choice).
- Payment information: handled directly by Stripe on its own secure, hosted checkout page. We receive only limited confirmation details back from Stripe (such as the card brand and last four digits, and the transaction result) — we never receive, see, or store your full card number.
- Communications: messages you send us by email, text, phone, or through the Site’s contact/quote forms, and any reviews or testimonial feedback you choose to share with us.
- Account sign-in: we use a one-time passcode sent to your email or phone instead of a stored password.
Information we collect automatically:
- Standard technical data when you visit the Site — IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, and referring page — collected through server logs and, where you’ve consented, cookies (see Section 5).
- We do not currently run third-party advertising or analytics tracking scripts (like Google Analytics or a Meta/Facebook Pixel) on the Site. If that changes, we will update this section and make sure the relevant cookie category in our cookie banner actually controls it before it’s turned on.
Information from third parties:
- Payment confirmation details from Stripe (see above).
- If you leave a public review on a platform like Google, we may see and reference that review, subject to that platform’s own privacy terms.
4. Text Messages (SMS) — What We Send and Your Choices
If you provide a phone number when booking or creating an account, we may text you service-related messages tied to that booking — sign-in codes, booking confirmations, appointment reminders, and “your team is on the way” notices. These are operational, not promotional, and are how we keep you informed about a service you’ve already requested.
If we ever offer marketing or promotional texts (special offers, seasonal reminders), we will only send them to numbers that gave separate, affirmative opt-in consent (an unchecked checkbox you actively select — never pre-checked, and never bundled into a required checkbox for booking). That consent will always include: message frequency, “message and data rates may apply,” and instructions to reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help. Text consent is never a condition of purchasing a cleaning. More House Services LLC does not sell, share, rent, release, or trade mobile information or phone numbers with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Our text messages are sent through AWS End User Messaging, part of the same Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure, operated by WAPER S.A.S., that hosts our database and sends our email (see Section 7).
Our text messaging program has its own dedicated terms, including message frequency, quiet hours for promotional texts, and how to opt in or out — see our SMS Terms & Conditions.
5. Cookies & Similar Technologies
When you visit the Site, a cookie banner lets you choose what we’re allowed to use:
- Essential cookies — always on. These keep the booking flow, security, and basic site functions working, and cannot be turned off.
- Analytics cookies — off unless you turn them on. These would help us understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it.
- Marketing cookies — off unless you turn them on. These would let us show more relevant offers.
You can accept all, reject all, or choose exactly which categories to allow, and you can change your mind anytime using the “Cookie settings” link in the Site footer. Choosing “Reject all” or leaving Analytics/Marketing off means we do not load those cookies for you. As noted in Section 3, no analytics or marketing scripts are active on the Site as of this Policy’s effective date — the banner is built to control them the moment any are added, and we won’t turn one on without wiring it to the matching toggle here.
A “Do Not Sell My Data” link is also available in the footer. To be clear: we do not sell your personal information, and have never sold it, to any third party.
6. How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above to:
- Schedule, staff, and deliver the cleaning services you request, including recurring plans.
- Process payments through Stripe and maintain accurate billing records.
- Send transactional communications: sign-in codes, booking confirmations, reminders, on-the-way notices, and payment receipts.
- Respond to quotes, questions, and support requests.
- Improve our service quality (for example, using photos taken during a visit for internal quality checks — see Terms of Service Section 10).
- Send marketing communications, but only to customers/subscribers who haven’t opted out (email) or who separately opted in (text) — see Section 4 and Terms of Service Section 12.
- Detect and prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations (including tax and accounting recordkeeping).
We do not use your information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles for sale to third parties.
7. Who We Share Information With
Our website, booking system, and customer database are built, hosted, and administered by WAPER S.A.S., a software development and technology-services company based in Colombia, under a paid services agreement with More House Services LLC. WAPER S.A.S. is our data processor: its staff have the technical and administrative access needed to build, host, and maintain these systems (for example, to fix a bug, run a database migration, or restore a backup) — but WAPER does not use your personal information for its own purposes, does not access or export identifiable customer records beyond what a specific maintenance or support task requires, and does not sell or share it with anyone else. This is a contractual commitment, not just a policy statement — see Section 15 for the cross-border framework that governs this relationship, since WAPER S.A.S. is located outside the United States.
To deliver the service, WAPER S.A.S. operates the following infrastructure on our behalf:
| Infrastructure (operated by WAPER S.A.S.) | What it handles | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Amazon Web Services (AWS) | Website hosting and DNS (Route 53), database hosting (RDS), sending transactional and (opted-in) marketing email (SES), and sending SMS text messages (AWS End User Messaging) | Runs the Site, securely stores your account and service history, and delivers confirmations, reminders, receipts, and texts |
We also work directly with one vendor that is not part of WAPER’s infrastructure:
| Vendor | What they handle | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Stripe | Payment processing (hosted checkout) | So we never touch your full card number |
Every vendor above is bound, by written agreement, to use your information only to provide their service to us, to keep it confidential, to maintain reasonable security measures, and to notify us promptly of any security incident — consistent with the New York SHIELD Act’s requirement that we select vendors capable of maintaining safeguards and bind them by contract.
We may also disclose information if required by law (such as a valid subpoena or court order), to protect the rights, property, or safety of More House, our customers, or the public, or in connection with a merger, sale, or transfer of business assets (in which case this Policy would continue to apply to your information under the new owner).
We do not sell your personal information.
8. Data Retention & Deletion
We keep your booking, account, and billing records for as long as you have an active relationship with us, and afterward for as long as reasonably needed for tax, accounting, insurance, and legal recordkeeping purposes, after which we securely delete or de-identify it. If you ask us to delete your information sooner (see Section 9), we will do so except where we’re required or permitted to keep certain records (for example, billing history needed for tax compliance).
9. Your Choices & Rights
Regardless of where you live, you can ask us at any time to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate information (you can also update most of this yourself in your customer account).
- Delete your information, subject to the retention needs described in Section 8.
- Opt out of marketing email — every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe link that we honor within 10 business days (usually much sooner).
- Opt out of marketing text messages — reply STOP at any time.
- Adjust cookie preferences — use the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.
To exercise any of these, contact us using the details in Section 16. New York does not currently have a comprehensive consumer privacy statute giving residents a standalone legal right to all of the above, but we extend these choices to every customer as a matter of policy. If you reside in a state with its own comprehensive privacy law (for example, California’s CCPA), that law’s specific rights apply to you in addition to the choices above.
10. How We Protect Your Information
In line with the New York SHIELD Act, we maintain a data security program that includes:
- Administrative safeguards — a designated person responsible for data security, staff awareness of confidentiality expectations, and vendor contracts requiring safeguards (Section 7).
- Technical safeguards — HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit, database access limited to what each system needs, multi-factor authentication on administrative accounts, and monitoring for suspicious activity. Card payment data never reaches our servers at all — it goes directly to Stripe’s PCI-compliant hosted checkout.
- Physical & disposal safeguards — access to systems containing personal information is limited to authorized personnel, and information is securely disposed of once it’s no longer needed under our retention practices.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity.
11. If a Data Breach Occurs
If we discover a security breach involving your private information, we will notify affected New York residents without unreasonable delay and no later than 30 days after discovery, consistent with the New York SHIELD Act, and will notify the New York Attorney General, Department of State, and State Police as required.
12. Reviews & Testimonials
If you leave a review or share feedback with us, we may reference it internally or, with your separate written consent, feature it publicly with your name (see Terms of Service Section 11). We do not publish full names, photos, or identifying details from a review without that consent.
13. Third-Party Links
Our Site links to third-party services we don’t control — for example, Stripe’s checkout page and Google’s review page. Those services have their own privacy policies, and this Policy doesn’t cover how they handle your information.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make a material change to how we collect, use, or share your information, we will post the updated Policy here with a new “Last Updated” date and, where the change affects an active subscriber, notify you by email.
15. Cross-Border Data Processing — Colombia
Our website, booking system, and customer database are administered by WAPER S.A.S., a company based in Colombia, under a written services agreement with More House Services LLC (see Section 7). That means the personal information you give us — your name, contact details, service address, and booking history — is processed, at the technical and administrative level, by a company located outside the United States, even though the underlying cloud infrastructure (AWS) runs in U.S. data centers.
We treat this cross-border relationship as requiring both of the following:
- Under the New York SHIELD Act, WAPER S.A.S. is a vendor handling New York residents’ private information. We’re required to select a vendor capable of maintaining safeguards and to bind it to those safeguards — administrative, technical, and physical — by written contract, including confidentiality and prompt notice of any security incident.
- Under Colombian law (Ley 1581 de 2012 and Decreto 1377 de 2013, the habeas data framework), WAPER S.A.S. acts as the “Encargado” (data processor) and More House Services LLC acts as the “Responsable” (data controller). WAPER S.A.S. is expected to maintain its own internal data-treatment policy, security measures, and a channel for data-subject inquiries and complaints, under a written contract with us that limits what it may do with the data. (Registration in Colombia’s National Database Registry, the RNBD, only applies to companies above a size threshold that a business our size does not meet.)
If we ever engage another vendor that processes data outside the U.S., we will update this section.
