1. Who This Agreement Is Between
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you (“you,” “customer,” or “client”) and More House Services LLC (“More House,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a residential and commercial cleaning company based at 2151 Tomlinson Avenue #3, Bronx, NY 10461, serving The Bronx, New York.
By visiting morehousellcny.com (the “Site”), requesting a quote, booking a cleaning, or subscribing to a recurring cleaning plan, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or our services.
2. Eligibility — Adults Only
More House’s Site and services are intended for adults only and are not directed to, marketed to, or intended for use by anyone under 18 years old. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, request a quote, book a service, or subscribe to a recurring plan. By using the Site or our services, you represent that you are 18 or older and that you have the legal authority (as a resident, leaseholder, homeowner, property manager, or authorized occupant) to permit our team to access the property being cleaned.
If we learn that we have collected personal information from someone under 18, we will delete it as soon as reasonably possible. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us at the address in Section 21.
3. Our Services
More House offers one core service: home cleaning, configured to your home (rooms, bathrooms, kitchen) and booked either as a one-time cleaning or as a recurring plan (weekly, biweekly, or monthly — see Section 6). There is no separate “weekly cleaning,” “monthly cleaning,” etc. as a different product — the plan you choose only sets how often our team comes and how you’re billed; the cleaning itself is the same core service either way, before any upgrade or add-on is applied.
We also offer, subject to availability in our current service area (currently The Bronx only):
- Commercial cleaning — offices, retail, schools, churches, restaurants, event venues, gated communities, and HOAs, priced by a custom quote.
- Airbnb / short-term rental turnover cleaning — cleaning between guest check-out and check-in for hosts, priced by a custom quote.
Service descriptions, pricing, and availability on the Site are current as of the date you book but may change. We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service to any address, at our discretion, including for safety, access, or payment reasons.
3.1 What a Standard Cleaning Includes
To avoid confusion about what’s covered before anything extra is added, a standard cleaning visit — for every room you include, at no extra charge beyond the room itself — covers: sweeping/vacuuming and mopping hard floors; shaking out and vacuuming the entry mat; lining up shoes at the door; dusting reachable surfaces, picture frames, décor, and bookshelves; clearing cobwebs; disinfecting light switches, handles, and remotes; wiping down screens, radiators, and AC units; making beds and straightening cushions; and emptying and relining trash/recycling. Living areas additionally get the sofa and cushions straightened, coffee table cleared and wiped, and media console/TV area dusted.
Every full bathroom included in your booking gets: toilet scrubbed inside and out; sink, faucet, and counter cleaned; shower glass descaled; bathtub scrubbed; tile and grout scrubbed; mirrors polished; existing towels folded; your existing toiletries lined up; and trash emptied. A half bath / powder room gets the same, minus anything shower- or tub-related.
The kitchen gets: counters wiped down; microwave cleaned inside and out; stovetop degreased; cabinet doors and handles wiped on the outside; and the kitchen table cleared and wiped.
Cleaning supplies are ours — we bring our own non-toxic products. What a standard cleaning does not include: the inside of the fridge, oven, or cabinets; interior or exterior window washing; upholstery, rug shampooing, ceiling fans, or fireplaces; providing new bathroom supplies (only tidying what’s already there); and laundry. Those are available as add-ons (Section 3.3) at an extra charge, shown to you before you book.
3.2 Deep Clean & Pet Clean — Whole-Visit Upgrades
Deep clean and pet clean are not add-ons for one task — they’re an upgrade to the entire visit, priced as a percentage added on top of the price of that cleaning. The exact percentage is set by us, shown to you and confirmed before you’re charged, and may change over time — this document intentionally does not state a fixed number for that reason. You can add either upgrade to a one-time cleaning or to any individual visit under a recurring plan.
3.3 Add-Ons
Add-ons are optional, individually priced tasks you add on top of a standard cleaning — for example: inside the fridge or oven, extra cabinet fronts, a laundry load (wash/dry/fold), a bed linen change, blinds, an upgraded room (e.g., a home office or playroom), light fixtures, interior and/or exterior window washing, and stain removal. Some add-ons are priced per unit (e.g., per window, per load, per fixture) with a base price that covers a starting quantity and an extra per-unit price beyond that. Exact items, quantities, and prices are shown to you in the booking configurator before you confirm and pay, and become part of your order confirmation.
4. Booking, Access & Your Responsibilities
- You must provide accurate contact and address information and reasonably safe, lawful access to the property at the scheduled time (key, code, doorman notice, smart lock, etc., as applicable).
- Please secure pets before the arrival window and remove or secure any items of significant monetary or sentimental value, firearms, controlled substances, and fragile or irreplaceable items before each visit.
- If our team cannot access the property at the scheduled time through no fault of ours, and you did not cancel or reschedule the visit in advance, it is treated as a missed visit and billed as described in Section 7.
- Sign-in to your customer account uses a one-time passcode sent to your email or phone rather than a password — keep that email/phone account secure, since anyone with access to it can access your booking and billing details.
5. Pricing & Payment
- Prices shown on the Site or in a quote are in U.S. dollars and reflect the room count, upgrades, and add-ons you selected. Custom or commercial jobs are priced by a manual quote, valid until the expiration date shown on that quote.
- Some plans include a discount off the standard price. If a discount applies, it is shown and confirmed to you at the time you subscribe — this document doesn’t list specific discount amounts because they can vary by plan and change over time; what you see and accept at checkout is what applies to your plan.
- All payments are processed by Stripe through Stripe’s secure, hosted checkout page. We never see, receive, or store your full card number — Stripe handles that in compliance with PCI-DSS. We accept debit cards, credit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay, exactly as offered to you on the Stripe checkout page.
- You authorize us to charge the payment method you provide for the services you book, including recurring charges for subscription plans as described in Section 6.
6. Recurring Plans — Automatic Renewal Disclosure
Enrolling in a weekly, biweekly, or monthly plan is signing up for one recurring cleaning subscription — again, it’s the same core cleaning service (Section 3), just billed and scheduled on the cadence you pick. This is governed by New York’s automatic-renewal law (General Business Law § 527-a) and the federal Restore Online Shoppers’ Confidence Act. Before you pay, and again in your confirmation email, we disclose:
- You’re billed every 30 days, starting from the day your plan begins — not on a fixed calendar date. Each 30-day cycle is its own billing period, regardless of which plan (weekly/biweekly/monthly) you picked; the plan controls how often our team visits during that cycle, not when you’re billed.
- Visits don’t roll over. The cleaning(s) that come with your 30-day cycle must be used within that same cycle. If you don’t schedule and use a visit before the cycle ends, it is forfeited — unused visits do not accumulate, carry forward into the next cycle, or convert to a credit.
- Deep clean, pet clean, and add-ons (Sections 3.2 and 3.3) can be applied to any individual visit under your plan, at the extra cost shown to you when you schedule that visit — they are not part of the recurring base price unless you choose to add them every time.
- The plan continues, and your card is charged automatically every 30-day cycle, until you cancel.
- You can cancel anytime, online, with no phone call required, from your customer account or by replying to any booking or billing email. Cancellation stops future 30-day cycles from being charged; it does not refund charges already processed for the current cycle or for visits already completed.
- We will send you a confirmation email when you subscribe that repeats these terms, and another if we ever materially change the terms of an active plan (see Section 18).
- We do not charge separate cancellation or early-termination fees for stopping a recurring plan, unless a specific promotional plan states otherwise at signup.
7. Rescheduling & Cancelling a Single Visit
You can reschedule or cancel an individual upcoming visit from your customer account or by contacting us, with reasonable advance notice, at no charge. If our team arrives for a scheduled visit and cannot access the property, and you did not cancel or reschedule it in advance, this is always treated as a missed visit — we charge a no-access fee equal to 30% of the price of that visit.
8. Satisfaction Guarantee
We want you to be fully satisfied. If any part of a completed cleaning does not meet your expectations, let us know within 24 hours of the visit and we will return to re-clean the affected area(s) at no additional charge. This guarantee covers re-cleaning; it does not create a right to a cash refund except where required by law or otherwise agreed by us in writing.
9. Insurance & Limitation of Liability
More House carries general liability insurance covering accidental damage to your home or belongings caused by our team during a visit. If something is accidentally damaged during a cleaning, tell us as soon as possible so we can make it right.
To the fullest extent permitted by law: More House is not responsible for (a) damage to items that were not secured or disclosed as fragile/valuable before the visit, (b) pre-existing damage or wear, (c) loss of items not disclosed as valuable, or (d) indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from our services. Our total liability for any claim related to a single visit is limited to the amount you paid for that visit, except where a broader remedy is required by law or covered separately by our insurance.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under New York law, including liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or personal injury caused by our negligence.
10. Photos Taken During Service
Our team may take photos to document completed work, verify quality, or resolve a damage claim, in line with our internal quality-control process. These photos are stored as part of your service record and are not published publicly or used in marketing without your separate consent (see Section 11).
11. Reviews, Testimonials & Use of Your Name or Likeness
We may invite you to leave a public review (for example, on Google) after a completed visit. We may also ask permission to feature your feedback as a testimonial on our Site or social media.
Under New York Civil Rights Law §§ 50–51, we will not use your name, photo, voice, or other identifying likeness in advertising or promotional material without your prior written consent. If we ever ask to feature your testimonial with your name or photo, we will get that consent separately from you before publishing it, and you may withdraw a testimonial from future use at any time by contacting us.
12. Communications — Email, Text (SMS) & Phone
By booking a service or creating an account, you agree to receive service-related communications from us by email, text message, and/or phone about that booking or account — for example: sign-in codes, booking confirmations, appointment reminders, “team on the way” notices, and payment receipts. These are necessary to deliver the service and are not promotional.
Text messages: Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies by your activity (bookings, reminders). You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, and get help by replying HELP. Opting out of text messages does not cancel your service — you’ll still receive confirmations by email.
Marketing communications (seasonal offers, promotions, satisfaction surveys with review requests) are sent only to customers who have an active service relationship with us or who separately opted in, and always include a working unsubscribe link (email) or STOP instructions (text). See our Privacy Policy for details and how to manage your preferences, and our SMS Terms & Conditions for the full text messaging program — including message frequency and quiet hours for promotional texts.
13. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: provide false booking or payment information; use the Site to commit fraud; interfere with the Site’s security or normal operation; scrape or harvest data from the Site; or use our services for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or terminate access to your account or refuse future service for violation of these Terms.
14. Intellectual Property
The Site’s content — text, graphics, logos, icons, and design — is owned by More House Services LLC or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not copy, reproduce, or use it for commercial purposes without our written permission.
15. Disclaimers
The Site and our services are provided “as is.” We do not guarantee that the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free. Estimated arrival windows, “on the way” ETAs, and calendar availability are estimates and may be affected by traffic, weather, or prior jobs running long.
16. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless More House Services LLC, its owners, employees, and cleaning team from claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Site, or false information you provide about property access or conditions.
17. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought exclusively in the state courts of Bronx County, New York, or, for claims arising under federal law, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change that affects an active recurring plan (for example, to the cancellation process or to how billing works), we will notify you by email before the change takes effect and tell you how to close out your plan with no penalty if you don’t agree with the change. Continued use of our services after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
19. Severability
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in full effect.
20. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any quote or order confirmation you receive, are the entire agreement between you and More House Services LLC regarding our services.
